S. ROB TUESDAYS - LOST ONE
S.ROB IS BACK WITH HIS TUESDAY SONG EDITION THIS WEEK SONG IS LOST ONE. S.ROB EXPLAINS THE STORY BEHIND THE SONG. When you first listen to "Lost One" you would believe that it was Lauryn Hill that inspired the hook and although a line or two was borrowed from her "Lost Ones", it was Sister Nancy's "Bam Bam" that I was actually reaching for. I love the way Rue Nicholson wraps her soulful alto voice around mine, making my song about infidelity warm and buttery. This, to me, IS R&B!!!

S.ROB - DIGGIN IN THE CRATES EP
S.ROB KICKS OFF HIS S.ROB TUESDAYS WITH HIS DIGGIN IN THE CRATES EP S.ROB TALKS ABOUT HOW IT CAME TO BE.
"I wanted "Diggin In Tha Crates" to be MY "What's The 411" in the sense of using the old school hip hop beats. It hasn't been done properly since Mary and it's NEVER been done by a male R&B artist. At the same time I didn't want to go back too far because I didn't want to miss anyone. I called on friends that were familiar with and/or from that era (TL Cross / Ladae, Chuck Smash / The Legion and my old faithful Rue Nicholson). I tried my best to stay true to my era, maybe had I added a few more songs I'd have covered more. There's so much to cover, I guess maybe next time"
